What to Expect

First Baptist Church centers our Sunday gatherings around beholding Christ through the ministry of his Word. Our worship consists of public prayer, Scripture reading, a blend of traditional and modern hymns, the ordinances (we serve the Lord's Supper monthly), and expository preaching.

We have our study hour that begins at 9:15 which is immediately followed by a half our (or so) of coffee and fellowship. Our main service begins at 10:45 and lasts between 60 and 75 minutes. There is no "dress code," so we hope you will wear whatever is casual and comfortable for you (please note these services and times have been adjusted due to Covid-19).

We also love seeing families worship together, so children of all ages are most certainly welcome, even if they cry! Of course, if you think it is necessary to comfort your child privately, you may do so in the foyer where the sermon can still be heard. We are glad to accommodate any special needs you might have.

We are a church body that strives to find our identity in the gospel, so we trust you will hear the hope of Christ and find rest in him during your visit. If you have any questions at all or would like to speak with a pastor, please do not hesitate to email or call the church office!

Kingdom Kids

For newborns up to 3rd grade, Kingdom Kids provides a safe, fun, interactive space just for children. Through worship, creative Bible teaching, and fun crafts and activities, they will learn about God's love and how to apply his Word to their lives.

The Kingdom Kids check-in station is located on the main floor. There you will be greeted by a volunteer to help you check-in your kids digitally.

Our Kingdom Kids staff is dedicated and properly trained to ensure our Children's ministry area remains safe and secure.

To encourage multi-generational discipleship, we welcome children of any age into the main service. This provides an opportunity for children to witness corporate worship being modeled for them by their parents and other adults. As such, children are present for the first half of worship: singing, prayer, and Scripture reading. Before the sermon begins, children 4 years old up to 3rd grade have the option to be dismissed to Kingdom Kids for age-appropriate teaching. Of course, children of all ages are welcome to remain in the sanctuary for the entire service (note: nursery is always provided for newborns up to 3 years, including at the start of service).
