First Baptist Church of Spring Lake has been meeting on the corner of Exchange and Meridian for over 150 years. It was in December of 1867 when 9 believers united together in fellowship to accept and adopt the Church Covenant we still hold today. As our name indicates, we are the first Baptist church to ever organize in both Spring Lake and in Ottawa County. Throughout our storied history, FBC has seen various seasons of prosperity and perseverance, but our resolve to maintain our commitment to the Word of God has always been our foundation. As we look to Jesus for our past, present, and future salvation, we trust all of our members and visitors will find rest, renewal, and hope in his name.
