What to Expect

First Baptist Church centers our Sunday gatherings around beholding Christ through the ministry of his Word. Our worship consists of public prayer, Scripture reading, a blend of traditional and modern hymns, the ordinances (we serve the Lord's Supper monthly), and expository preaching.

Our study hour that begins at 9:00am. Our main service begins at 10:30am and lasts between 75 and 90 minutes. There is no "dress code," so we hope you will wear whatever is casual and comfortable for you.

We love seeing families worship together. Children of all ages are most certainly welcome, even if they cry! Of course, if you think it is necessary to comfort your child privately, you may do so in the foyer or the prayer room where the service can still be viewed or heard. Additionally, we currently offer childcare for infants up through 3rd grade with age appropriate teaching. We are glad to accommodate any special needs you might have. (*Nursery is available during the 10:30 service for children 0-3 y/o. Children 4 y/o to 3rd grade join us for Worship through songs and Scripture Readings and are dismissed before the sermon to attend Kingdom Kids.)

We are a church body that strives to find our identity in the gospel. We trust you will hear the hope of Christ and find rest in him during your visit. If you have any questions at all or would like to speak with a pastor, please do not hesitate to email or call the church office.
